Job Description

The Sales Account Executive is responsible for generating revenue through the sale of Master Data Management products and services to current and prospective accounts in the Health and Life Sciences vertical, specifically provider and payer organizations. The Sales Account Executive will work closely with NextGate project managers and professional services staff as well as NextGate senior management.

Minimum Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of relevant sales experience required, healthcare provider/payer experience a plus
  • Experience with long sales cycles
  • Proficient with more than one enterprise software product line or major module
  • Experience with MDM, EMPI, and entity registry products and solutions a plus
  • Familiarity with Health Information Exchange (HIE) business processes and strategies a plus
  • Excellent selling skills and verifiable track record of success
  • Comfortable selling at high levels in the healthcare market (CEO, COO, CIO, CFO level)
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills in working with team members and management, and as a liaison to customers and prospects
  • Good negotiation, conflict management, and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of current information systems technology and of healthcare industry and trends
  • Extensive travel may be required

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Performs sales activities for an assigned geographic area and/or product/service line to meet or exceed assigned revenue objectives
  • Contacts and visits prospective customers to determine needs
  • Creates and delivers sales presentations assisting in the sales process
  • Remains knowledgeable of company’s products and services to facilitate sales efforts
  • Maintains sales records and prepares sales reports as required
  • Maintains regular contact with customers to ensure satisfaction
  • Maintains a regular schedule of contact via phone/on-site visits
  • Alerts clients to new or improved products/services
  • Develops relationships with clients through on and off-site sales calls and appropriate entertainment activities
  • Relays client feedback to company
