Code Set Registry
The NextGate Code Set Registry organizes, maps, and maintains codes from different source systems, creating a centralized and standardized index for code set administration across an enterprise. The Code Set Registry lets customers compare codes of varying format, assign a correlation between them, and define translation logic for when one code needs to be swapped for another during the electronic exchange of information.
The Code Set Registry comes with auditing tools to review change history, code set versioning capabilities, and interfaces for easy import, export, and access to tables. This process streamlines the conversion between standard and proprietary code sets, ensures compliance with organizational protocols, and makes it simpler to share data with business partners regardless of code set variances.
The Code Set Registry has been incorporated in various solutions, such as:
- Correlating compendia from different laboratories to a standard comparative compendia
- Standardization of common elements, like gender, location, and asset descriptions
- A lookup and translation service to review and export codes to downstream systems
