Under the agreement, NextGen Healthcare will provide its clients the option to complement the master patient index capabilities in several of its products – NextGenSM Health Information Exchange,NextGen® Ambulatory EHR, NextGen® Practice Management, andNextGen® Inpatient Clinicals and Financials – with NextGate’s MatchMetrixTM EMPI Suite. With MatchMetrix, NextGen Healthcare’s clients will gain an enhanced, single view of patient information, helping them offer a higher level of care across larger service delivery areas.
NextGen Healthcare offers a complete portfolio of ambulatory and inpatient solutions, for which having a master patient index across disparate systems and organizations is critical to meet client needs and enable health information exchange. For its larger community based projects, NextGen Healthcare identified a need to enhance its master patient index capabilities with a probabilistic matching algorithm. After careful review of several offerings, it selected NextGate’s MatchMetrix EMPI Suite as its patient matching solution.
